PULSE. . . Columbia needs a student council that never stops beating, that never stops working for you. We’re taking instant energy to the table. We bring together a wide range of experience, not only on student council, but also from two of the biggest governing boards, ABC and SGB, and a broad array of student groups, from the Columbia Political Union to Columbia’s cheerleaders. With this experience, we can. . . We’ll follow through on reforming the Center for Career Education to help you find better jobs. On financial aid, we’ll step up and expand CCSC’s push for more grants and fewer loans. And we’ll boost our efforts on creating an Ethnic Studies Department. Beyond what’s already begun, we believe CCSC needs to work to further improve dining. We’ll fight for more kosher and vegan options as well as swipe access at local restaurants. We’re also going to. . . We’ve fought to make Lerner 6 meeting, music and performance practice space and we’ll make sure that proposal is realized. Lerner 6 is a good start, but we’ll push for less administrative and more student space throughout Lerner. We will conduct a comprehensive audit of student life fees to make sure they go to student activities. We want to create an Intergroup Cosponsorship Fund to get groups resources and promote building bridges between groups. This is just. . . into a larger community. With a Van Am Tailgate Series and stepped up advertising, we’ll bring together the entire college community for athletic events. We’ll also work to increase resources to Club Sports, allowing more of us easy access to athletic participation. We’ve also got some great programming ideas to tap the resources of New York City. A monthly Urban New York will bring the thrill of the City, from art to sporting events, to you. But it’s not just about today, we need to. . . We’ll build stronger relationships to the College’s alumni to raise financial support. We’ll also connect you personally to alumni with our class mentoring plan.
